Cylinder no fire. or? 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I noticed that my bike was popping on de-cel, and idles like a cylinder is not firing.

Kinda thinking its either a fouled plug or possibly not firing on the intake plug on a cylinder, anything else i can look for?

I cant seem to find in the search where anyone discussed this. Please help its my only means of transportation!

Thank you in advance.

I see you have a 1600, so probably not SVS, yes it's possibly, but quite rare for a 1600 to have this issue.

Did this just start to happen? Been running with no issues for a while?

Have you checked the wire connections to the coils?
Have you checked the spark plug boot resistors?

SVS deleted, this morning when i pulled into work i notices a slight pop on decel, its been my main transportation and had run great with good gas mileage. I will check the coil connections and how do I check the plug wire resistors?

Thank you for the quick reply.

Did this do this just one time, then don't worry about it. when it becomes a daily issue, then there would be a problem.

as far as the boots, they unscrew off the wire, the resistor inside the boot is 10k ohms. but you can replace them with a piece of wire as well, just cut to length. if you look inside the boot, you will see a slot for a screwdriver. unscrew, be careful there is a small spring inside

Mine pops too but it's from a manifold leak.

Check for air leaks around the manifold and carb and then check for leaks around all the exhaust connections and joints. Exhaust leaks will cause poor running and popping.

Ok so finally time to look at my bike.....The vacuum port from the intake manifold (which was capped off) was broken (the rubber cap) and sitting next to my spark plug. So if anyone had their AIS deleted and capped that off make sure you have a high temp cap. She runs great now!
