Thanks for the input Mike,
I did look Big City Thunders stuff over. Seems kinda pricey....You usually get what you pay for, but not always. I will mull it around for a little while. Hell, maybe I'll make something up myself, or modify the stock baffles. This stuff does get addicting doesn't it?

Very addicting, Jim!

I've tried some five different exhausts on my R* looking for the right sound. I think I'm close with the Longshots and in fact, this thread helped me decide to order the BCT QQ's. So, I'll report back next week on whether they are worth the money

I had a pair of Vance&Hines on my 1100 V I liked, but I can't seem to find the on the internet, they were about three inches round mufflers and they were slip-ons. I took them off another 1100 V when I sold it. Anybody got some used V&Hines slip-ons for sale that are in good shape?

Cool Midstar07, I'll keep an eye out for your post. In the mean time I'll pull these out and see what I've got in there.

OK, so I have a couple of quick rides with the Thunder Monster QQ baffles mounted in my V&H Longshots. Very, very nice. They are certainly not TOO quiet; they have a good bark to 'em. And, as advertised, they produce a deep tone that was just absent with the regular baffles. They sound good off the gas, too.

Now, I have them mounted in the forward mounting hole that was already there. The instructions say that they need to be at least 3 inches in, but that mounting them 6 inches from the end of the pipe is typically a "sweet spot" for performance. Might sound even better, I don't know yet.

Also, I feel a significant difference in power vs the stock baffle! Not as fast as with my 2-into-1, but totally acceptable and on balance, this sound/power combo is the best so far.

You seem happy with the QQ's Nightstar. I might have to give those a shot. They are kinda pricey, but it would be worth it for improved tone and performance. Nothing but the best for our babies...
