Seriously?! 9 Months ago
Ok....this is just kind of odd/mildly funny. I have been doing a mixture of city riding and short highway riding, and went to fill up with gas and i put in 4.3 gallons.....I reset my trip meter every time i fill up with gas so i can check my mileage/carb setup.....well, wehn i went to reset my trip meter....it said 95.7 miles.
Lol...now just off the top of your head you can quickly realize that that is right around 20 mpg. So, i quickly start looking for a fuel leak somewhere....there are no leaks fellas. I wasn't riding it hard either....is that even possible to get that kind of mileage if you aren't beating the S@*& out of it.
I have a had two other roadstars before and had some serious motor work done to them (Heads ported and polished, cams, high comp pistons, mik 42mm carb) and even in the city beating the hell out of it i was getting in the low 40's for mileage.
Anyway, i just thought i would share with you all some funny wednesday stories. It is kind of screwed up though....lol. Plugs are not black either.....exhaust is clean as a whisttle too.....I mean NOTHING in the exhaust.
Have a good wednesday. Someone has to chime in to tell me they get worse than that to make me feel better....lol.

Do you remember putting gas in 95 miles ago? Sure your eyes didn't miss the 1 in front of the 95? Do you have kids that like to steal gas? Maybe your battery is going and resets, check your clock. If nothing else it's Bush's fault

The same thing happened to me...I was at a half tank and looked down to see my miles at 20...20 miles...half tank? Just wasn't adding up. So I then found out when the battery is on its way out it will reset stuff. Maybe something to keep your eye on or check out

Re:Seriously?! 9 Months ago
yeah i am sure.....I always check it with trip "A" and reset both "A" and "B". I just thought it was quite odd. I have only had this bike for about two months and have been riding my harley most of the time while i build this roadstar the way i want it....and in between putting parts on it i will take it for short rides and i just thought it was pretty rediculous.
