I hope the Austone tire works out for ya. I have the Comtrac, 9,500 miles and still looks new, but at some point I'll need a replacement and since the Comtrac 175/75-16 isn't available I'll either have to go to the next size up Comtrac or maybe the Austone. I'll never go back to the mc tire.

I've got the Austone 175R16 sitting on the shelf in my garage along with the Pirelli 150 "rear" tire (meant to be mounted in reverse rotation). Just waiting for a weekend of crappy weather to fit everything and then I'll be able to tell you how the combination rides.

Stay tuned for further updates as the story develops...

Remember to really polish the rim where the bead goes prior to mounting the tire. It seems small but its a big step. I think I am going to go to the same tire. My ture guy keeps jacking me that he can get a Comtrac, but now he wont answer the phone.

ok i'm a darksider, got my tire in the mail yesterday, mounted it today i ended up with the bridgstone turnza 175/60r16 delivered to the house for $124 from tire rack . folled the instructions from a guy on the darkside fourm on how to clean and seal the rim to run tubles , waited the alotted time and mounted the tire, read how some folks had a nightmare of a time getting the bead to pop even heard of some using the old either trick but for me that was the easy part , the bead poped at 38 psi getting the tire on the rim was a pain at first so i walked away cooled off came back and it went right on. mounted the tire and rim on the bike checked all clearances with me on and off all seams well did not get to ride it yet but will let know how that goes, oh yea took it to my friends shop and balanced it with led that was easy also as it was very close to begin with
