What do I need to convert to solo rider? 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I really do like riding sometimes without all the gear meaning the bags, sissy bar, windshield, etc.

I've taken the shield off pretty easily but was curious is there a way to remove the passenger seat and have something go in it's place that will look right and be easily swapable or are most of those fender racks, etc have a more long term bolt on install in mind? Meaning not a quick swap.

The back seat rest comes off pretty easy. I sure would love to find one of those low grab handles though. I guess those are becoming extinct.

And that leaves the bags. There's a big support bar that runs along the bottom of my bags to the passenger floor board. Seems like a big PITA to remove all that. Is there a quick disconnect type mounts I could use instead.

In a nut shell I want to be able to turn the bike from Road Tour to Single Cruiser with as little ease as possible.

Thanks!

My bike is a solo rider. For a seat, I have the Looneys custom DD gel seat. It makes you sit really low and it's really soft. Then I put in screw caps into the back seat holes and then used touch up paint to blend it in. In my opinion a solo bike looks cooler.

When I want to take my lady friend out for a ride, I use the passenger seat. I put suction cups on the bottom of it. Due to the pressure of her sitting down and the suction cups being on metal, they stick pretty good. I actully have to use my figner nail to pop it off.

For the rear fender I would get the mustang fender bib

Right, exactly what I was thinking but when I pulled my rear seat off there's some hardware that the front locks into so that it won't pull up. If I remove that how do I put the seat back on?

Is there a way to fasten those suction cups that kryinggame mentioned?

I think to remove the bags I'd be looking at Ghost Brackets I think.

I think the little bolts that bolt it down screw into nuts that are welded to the subframe so it should only take like 2 minutes to put back on

AHh okay so the fender bib has those 2 little holes that slip over those welded bolts. Is there any particular Fender bib I have to go with or are they all pretty much universal?

note on the fender bib. I would recommend putting panhead bolts into the two remaining holes before putting the bib on. Otherwise dirt, etc. will come up thru the bottom and get trapped between the fender and bib causing a problem for the paint.

I am using the factory seat and added the ring. For the fender I got 3 plastic plugs at Lowes and stuck in the passenger seat bolt holes. You have to look for them or wouldn't know they were there. Since my wife won't ride I also took off the passenger pegs. I just leave the bags on.

My pic shows my bike w/bags and w.s. If you click on my screen name, you'll see the striped down cruiser look. BTW - I also recently removed the rear rack for a lower profile.
