Advance Auto Parts (and others I'm sure) loan out tools. Just put down a deposit and you get it all back when you bring them back. Just a tip on saving a little green.

BTW...I believe the 06 Silverado's used mostly 30mm.

30mm is correct for my '06. Picked up a socket at Lowes for $6. New washer and red loctite. So all should be good now. Still gonna check it every now and then though.

Re:Front pulley question 8 Months ago
Since so many people are having issues with pully nuts comming loose we should 1st ensure pulley nut is trq'd to spec using loctite along with proper locking washer .

Then as a maint item after doing the above chk the pulley nut 1x yrly on conservatively riden bikes little to no perf mods with less miles driven yrly and check it 2x yrly for bikes riden a lot of miles or that have perf mods increasing hp at are run harder with more on/off throttle with more back & forth action on front pulley thats thought to have an affect on loosening front pulley nut at times.

I feel doing that should significantly reduce chances of having pulley nut come loose tearing up spline on trans shaft resulting in a very costly repair, avoid being stuck in the middle of nowhere, avoid an accident if drive belt was to get tangled in a way that locks up the rear wheel, or maybe even having pulley come loose/off loosing forword motion/power when pulling out or merging into traffic and getting hit.
