I received my Barnett clutch conversion kit this A.M. and for some reason I thought there might be a little more detail when it comes to instructions. (i'm no mechanic) so I guess I'm going to be doing a bit of reading. Instructions Example.......Not this time. I don't have all day to play with an instruction sheet just to post it, tried 3 times andno go!
THe direction sheet that comes with the clutch spring shows you what parts to remove and that's it. For full disassembly you will have to look at the yamaha service manual and as Wrongkind suggested, his link. Thats how I did it last weekend.

Barnett# MT-23-6
Green Clutch Springs

Sometimes they are green and sometimes they are not...but this is the part number you want to search for. I have found them from $25 dollars - $60 dollars. so shop around.

A quote from the Barnett rep that emailed me back in reference to the green spring part number question.

"Barnett# MT-23-6 is the correct part number for the optional heavier duty set of springs. They are about 10% stiffer than the springs that come with the spring conversion kit. You can also alternate three springs from each set for another pressure option."

FYI from the Barnett web site FAQ section:\

Q: How much stronger are Barnett clutch springs than stock?

A: While Barnett springs vary with each application, they are generally about 10-15% stronger than stock springs

I am waiting for a reply from a Barnett rep as to how much % stiffer the green and red springs are.

EBC claims the same extra force for their spring and it's only about $25. Besides the big difference in price it seems like the EBC spring would be easier to install.

FYI- You should probably read my last post on this thread, RE: the EBC spring.

..And yes, I too agree, it would be much easier to install.

I remember seeing something about it quite some time ago but it was also stated that the new spring had some kind of white mark on it. Never heard any more until I read your post.

Re:Barnett clutch conversion 1 Year, 6 Months ago
I should have 3 extra green springs(Barnett# MT-23-6) to offer someone if they need them. I will be doing my clutch upgrade in Mid November and I will, I think only use 3 of the stronger spring with my new clutch...So if anyone needs 3 springs that come stock with the Barnett clutch or the 3 green springs, then PM me and let me know where to send them. First come first served!

Isn't KARMA just the coolest thing?
