Bike won't go 7 Months ago
My 2005 Midnight Star won't move. The clutch engages, I am able to put the bike in gear and shift through the gears, and the speedometer shows how fast I am going. The bike won't move. It seems as if the engine is disengaged from the final drive or something. I was riding along and heard / felt something hit the bottom of my bike - it seemed like it may have been internal, but at the same time I thought I ran over debris. I stopped and checked everything, found nothing. Went for a ride and after 11 miles started to downshift and heard a buzzing/grinding sound then the bike rolled to a stop. Any ideas what may have happened?

Did the front pulley fall off the shaft? Or strip on the spline

I don't think so. The belt is tight. The bike rolls with no sounds different than usual. I will look now.

Stripped spline would be my guess. Can you see any metal shavings in that area?

Check your transfer case. If the wheel is not moving how are you getting speed indication? I know these bikes are magical, but speed indication? Do you have the bike on up on lift when you run through the gears? Is it not moving when on the ground?
