#43866 miller502 (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 30 10 mm drain plug ????????????? 1 Year, 2 Months ago   On the right underside of the engine, there is a drain plug that takes a 10mm socket to get it out.I took the plug out and there was a small amount of oil that drained onto my finger tip. Should this drain have alot of oil coming out of it. Oh , What is this drain plug for ? It is under the motor and it was definetly enging oil that came out,(a very small amount) I just dont know if there should be alot of oil coming out or if any oil should be coming out or if i'm gonna burn something up cause of no oil. If you have your bike at a mechanic they can put an oil pressure gauge on it to check. You might have taken one of the case bolts out which would have some oil on it Good Luck! I guess you could call it an oil pressure access plug. The service manual actually references the smaller plug that's immediately under one of the chrome oil delivery tubes as the one to attach an oil pressure gauge. Anyway, all those access plugs (there are 5, I think) are called Oil Gallery Bolts or Sight Plugs. This is because they allow visual access directly in to the important oil movement lines and bearings.
