single front brake? 6 Months ago
I am thinking about removing one of the front brakes on my bike, removing everything on the one side. My question is; would it matter what side I removed??? I will be staying with the stock setup on the one side.
Thanks

shouldn't matter which side. Question, why do you want to reduce your stopping power ?

I did consider that, doing it more for looks; going to change the front spokes out and want them to be seen better from the one side. Probably don't make sense but!

Others have done this but I think found that they had to squeeze a lot harder to get the same stopping power. The fix is a smaller diameter master cylinder to increase the leverage.

The V-Stars with only one rotor have the rotor on the left side.

with no disrespect but i do not understand you guys that want a single disc in the front it may look better when you have custom rims but you are still cutting the stopping power of a 600-800 pound bike depennding if if a bobber to a dresser.

i know plenty of hd riders that would love to have duel disc fronts

me i want to incease the stopping power steel braided lines sintered pads soft compound tires ect.

it is great to go fast go quick have a bike that is nimbble but you need all the stopping power you can get.

just my 2 cents
