tell me about brakelines. i need to get informed. 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
hey guys i need to tap into your minds again.

so im looking at making my own brakeline ( well, using this build your own ) and i have a rotor/pulley combo unit that is made for a harley davidson. best i can tell the caliper is made for a 3/8 banjo bolt. so can i use a 10mm banjo with a 3/8" banjo bolt? cause the company dont offer 3/8" banjos with there build your own kits and 3/8" is 9.5250mm.

I would say it depends on how much sealing surface you have under the head. Keep in mind that you are going to be short .2375 mm on each side. Maybe you could tap the caliper out to fit a 10mm banjo bolt.

I would think so because the bolt is always smaller in normal condition so the fluid can pass through. The copper washers on both sides of the banjo does the sealing anyway.

They're interchangeable as far as I know.
3/8"=.375" 10mm = .394" that's a .019" difference a little over 1/64 of an inch. You'll be fine!!
Earl's catalog calls it both.

Speigler for sure....I got stainless with red anodized fittings, perfect fit and much better brake feel. No sense making them yourselves. Well you will find that out when you slide through an intersection!
