09 RoadGlide Wheels for my 03 RS 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Found front and rear wheels from a 2009 HD RoadGlide. Is this something I can make work with stock by without too many mods. $350 price tag doesn't sounds reasonable. If it's possible, what do I have to do to make it work?? Gotta get rid of the spokes. PIA to clean!!

Well, is it just the wheels or what all comes with them? Rotors, pully, tires? What are the rim sizes (if there is tires you can just give us those sizes)

What size wheel bearings? 3/4", 1", 25mm?

With that info we can hook you up. We just need some info here (or at least I do)

17" Front 130-80 r17 65h
16" Rear 180-65 r16 81h
25MM Bearings

No rotors, No Pulleys.

Should be a fun project for the winter, if I can make it work.

Ok it will take some work but they will go on. The rear tire is wider than the subframe inside the rear fender will allow but a little grinding and you will be fine. As far as the pully and rotor you will need hd ones or adapters to make them fit. Wheel bearings is where you need to make a choice, the front axle is 22mm and the back is 20mm so.

1. Have custom spacers made and use the stock axles

2. See if you.can put 3/4" bearings in and run looney axles.

That will get you started anyway

A bit more info needed.

Are the 25mm bearings abs or non abs? they are different, if they are abs they will need to be changed.

3/4 in bearings will not fit 09+ wheels, 1 in bearings will.

09+ touring wheels have very deep hubs, Im doubtful that they will fit the swingarm and doubtful that you can line the pully and rotor up without spacing out the Roadies belt and/or rotor.

IMO pre 09 touring wheels would be a better fit on the rear. The fronts are the same width from about 1980 up regardless of diameter.

11.8 rotors on the front, 11.5 on the rear. Alot of aftermarket polished rotors at decent prices are available for touring wheels. Most of them come with adapters to fit hubs with 1 in or 25 mm axles. The 3/4 in axle wheels are not very common anymore, most people upgraded and tossed the old wheels. They werent very good looking anyway.

Fat Bob wheels may be a good fit, 16x3.5 and 16x5, the same as the 09+ touring wheels but the rear hub is much narrower than the touring hub.

I bought a set of black ones for about $300 ea shipped for the misses Fat Bob.

I still have the stockers, if I ever pull the wheels off the Roadie I will try and mock them up.
