Re:tires 5 Months ago
I riding very conservative & have an 06 silverado ,with riding 2up (300lbs combined Wife & me) 99% i got 6k-7k max miles (EACH) out of the last 2 rear tires i had on the bike,1 was a Dunlop & the other was bridgestone.

Front Bridgestone tire currently on my bike has 8k miles on it with approx 25-30% tread life left, may get 10-12k miles out of it.

I got 16,000 miles out of the original Bridgestones but the Michelin Commanders that I replaced them with have 18,000 on them and look to have a couple of thousand left on them.

Re:tires 5 Months ago
There are many things i thnk we need to take into account that affect total mileage that isn't normally addressed when talking tire wear here in RSC that i have listed below:

* WEIGHT OF BIKE/SOME ONLY RIDE 1 UP WITH NO BAGS OR ACCESSORIES VS OTHER ALWAYS RIDING 2UP WITH BAGS FULLY LOADED WHICH WILL WEAR TIRES FASTER (ESP REAR TIRE) VS A ALWAYS RIDING 1 UP WITH NO BAGS WITH BIKE CARRYING A MUCH LIGHTER.

* SPEED/TEMP BIKE IS NORMALLY CRUISED AT MAKES A DIFF,TIRES WEAR FASTER AT HIGHER 75-80MPH CRUISE SPEEDS IN HOTTER TEMPS VS 50-60MPH SPEEDS IN LOWER TEMPS.

* RIDING STYLE,IF YOU RIDE AGRESSIVE OFTEN BEING HARD ON THE THROTTLE WHEN GOING THRU THE GEARS GETTING UP TO CRUISE SPEED THAT WILL PUT MORE TRQ TO REAR TIRE CAUSING MORE WEAR THEN A VERY CONSERVATIVE RIDING STYLE THAT DOESNT DO THAT. AND IF YOU HAVE MODS THAT CREATE MORE HP/TRQ THEN THAT CAN CAUSE A LITTLE MORE REAR TIRE WEAR WITH AN AGRESSIVE RIDING STYLE.

* ROAD SURFACE/CONDITION OF ROAD SURFACE BIKES RIDDEN ON,FOR EX CEMENT ROAD SURFACE IS SMOOTHER VS /ASPHALT-BLACK TOP TYPE ROAD SURFACE THATS CONSIDERABLY ROUGHER WHICH WILL CAUSE MORE TIRE WEAR.

* IMPROPER TIRE PRESSURE CAN AFFECT TIRE LIFE/WEAR.

* FRONT TO REAR TIRE ALIGNMENT CAN ALSO AFFECT TIRE LIFE/MILEAGE.

* PROPER TIRE BALLANCE AFFECTS TIRE LIFE/MILEAGE.

These are some of the main items/variables that affect tire life/wear which are the reason we see a fair amount of varience when talking avg tire life/miles per tire on same type bike.
