Don't recall ever reading of anyone doing that, but I would love to read your account, if you attempt it!
I would say, that since it's not as likely to be chrome, that a cool exhaust wrap job would work on the actual pipes, and your choice of aftermarket mufflers would be just about limitless!

If all works out its going to be a true dual setup for the bagger im in the process of. Similar to the freedom and roadhouse. Biggest thing right now would be for me to find a banged up set of pipes for the flanges because I don't want to wreck either sets of mine I have. Going to start measuring up and doing some research this weekend.

Don't know if it was Grinder, but one of the guys on here mades some sweeeet dualies out of the stock mufflers using some off the shelf pipes and custom made brackets for a steal. Looked awesome too!

Check Utube videos for exhaust for Roadstars. There's a Guy that made a set of duals out of stainless and you can hear what they sound like too.
