painting calipers 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I want to paint my calipers. Is there a preference between powder coat, caliper paint or regular paint?
If powder coated do you need to tear down the caliper and then get a rebuild kit?
Thanks
Vic

If poweder coating im sure would need to redo seals and all due to them having to be baked. Im actually in process of paining mine at the house. I used caliper painbt so i knew it would be able to take the heat.

i would not use regular paint as the heat may bake it right off

I have chrome covers over mine and I like them plus they are easy to clean. If I were going to paint them I don't think I would worry to much about the heat build up. I used to paint the calipers on my cars back in the day and never had a problem with heat. You could give Plasti-dip a try. That way if you don't like the color you can just peel it off.
