pulling the gas tank 1 Year, 2 Months ago
for those that haven't ever taken the tank off, its not that hard.
first remove the seat
unclip the wire at the rear of the tank, takes 2 wrenches (I think that it is a 6mm) to remove the long bolt.
take the 3 allen heads out of the speedocover lift it up, dont worry about taking the wires loose, there is enough slack just gently pull the wire fron under the tank to get enough to lay the cover to one side out of the way.
unhook the tube from the top of the tank, and unhook the fuel line from the fuel cock, be sure to turn the fuel OFF, it also help to run the motor with it cut off for a minute or 2, now you can slide the tank toward the rear it will slide right off, now you can see the top of the motor to change plugs if you need to.
if i can do it anybody can!
