New Roadstar owner with exhaust question 1 Year, 3 Months ago
I just purchased an 07 Silverado. Previous owner had cut out bafels and left everything stock. He swears that it wont hurt the bike, but I dont believe him. What should I do to the bike now. Do I just get new exhaust for it. I dont mind how loud it is, actually where I live I dont get messed with for noise. I am interested in Jetting and possibly going to a bigger intake. Like I said I am new to the Roadstar and could use any help and if anyone nows a good place in Arizona to get our bikes serviced please let me know.

That's a pretty common mod. Check out the tech articles on Stage 1, 2, 3 exhaust mods. Stage 3 (what you have) usually benefits a higher flowing intake to keep up with the opened exhaust, and jetting the carb too. So good thing you're interested in that. Check the tech articles for how to's. Or post here. A lot of of have already been there.

If the intake breathing hasn't been opened up, you've nothing to fear.
When you do go to enhance your intake, you'll definitely want to rejet... and if the instructions don't work out quite right, the carb gurus right here will set you straight!

If you like that sound, spend your money elsewhere. If performance is your first concern, a 2 into 1 is your best bet... and there are at least 3 or 4 different manufacturers of those now.

Ok I just ordered the Barons Big Air intake and that comes with the Barons Jet kit. When I get them and put them on we will see how it runs.
