took my bike out yesterday for a short ride and once again, the scraping noise i have complained about here many times started right up... i am now 95% certain it is coming from the clutch..it sounds like one spot is hitting something causing a loud scraping sound.the more rpms
the faster it gets..gets worse under load and lighter when coasting. My clutch does not slip or feel faulty but now im gonna have to go in there and see what the problem is. The sound stops when i pull the clutch in..no matter how fast i am rolling.I am a life-long machinist and mechanic so im sure i can wade my way thru this..but it seems very extensive taking our clutch out of the bike..im going barnett for sure since its gotta come apart anyway...the clymer manual makes it sound like the job from hell..is it really that complicated to do a clutch in the roadstar ??? Any advice from you guys?? my bike has about 9k on it but was previously wrecked before i got it 2 years ago.. it is an 07.
