tranny oil or gear case oil 4 Years, 7 Months ago  
Im switching to royal purple 20/50 in the motor now and was woundering what everyone is using in there gear box.. grades and types of oil. ?

I recently put in amsoil 75-90w gl-4, it is a synthetic, some folks have said not to use a gl-5 as it can effect any yellow metals that are in the transfer case...

Hey BB

I bought a car that the stealer actually put sawdust in the tranny & rearend.

Unfortunately he had some sort of acident at a local bar that laid him up for a while.
