Like Musky mine are on all the time, except as happened in my photo and I hit the switch when I was cleaning them just before the ride. I want all the light I can get all the time.

Mine stay on all the time... well once the engine is cranked. The passing lamps don't light up until the engine is fired up for some reason. Anyway... it ticked my v-star buddies off because their shut off with high beam.

The problem I have with mine is that they are blinding on-coming cars. I think they are aimed to high, but I don't see any way to adjust the height of their aim. Is there an adjustment or other remedy?

I don't like the idea of on-coming drivers not being able to see where they are going!

The lights are on a separate circuit with its own relay and dont light up until the engine is running so as to not rob the starting circuit of power...then they are on all the time til you shut down the ignition..

You remove the front sealed beam or reflector housing and loosen the long vertical nut inside the lamp slightly... then the lamp can be adjusted by rotating it about the beveled washer that is between the housing and passing lamp mount.. careful to hold on to the turn signal as this may
effect it's alignment

Just a note about my experience. Have not had to change a light bulb so far (18,149 miles) except the day I bought it, when one of the running lights was coming on intermittently. Took 3 trips to get the dealer to get it right.

Found out in the process that it's a state-by-state law thing as to whether running lights go off with the high beam or stay on. Found out in that process that dealers (and their shops) may not have a clue what the state law is. I had to find out from a friend who is a cop and get it confirmed by another friend who did motorcycle inspections for the state.

Oh, and BB,

If you're having a hard time locating the ground, look down at your feet. That big, hard, kinda flat surface going out from them in all directions is the ground.

(I am SO bad sometimes)

Pop Rivet, I have been thinking about the tribar lights for my scoot, could you really tell a difference in the amount of light output? I need a little more justification other than they look good!!!

I really havent done enough night riding to give an honest evaluation...

they seem bright when you blind yerself crouching down in front of them

all the New Harleys have this style of lamp I see...
Here are some opinions
Tribar Headlights

But the kuryakyn passing lamps will only fit into the sealed beam type passing lamp housings from yamaha
