I have the Hard Krome 3" big straights and yes they are loud but I do not think they are obnoxious. Your neighbors will definately know you are coming but noone has complained. I just went to my local dealer and he let me listen to several pipes that were on bikes in the service departmen t to help me make up my mind. You really need to hear them to decide for yourself. Do you have your baffles in or out. I have the same pipes on my 2004 Road Star. I have had it re-jetted and was wondering what it would sound like with the baffles out.

I still have the baffles in as it's already pretty loud that way. From what I understand though it's pretty easy to take them out so you might just want to try it and see if you like it. Good Luck!
