Does anyone out there in clinic land have or has had the star bar
by Barons On their road*? If so how does it feel compared to the stock
bar. looking at putting one on mine.

Hey Greysnake,

I have Baron's Big Johnson bar. I think that it is basically the same dimensions as the Star Bar, maybe a little wider. Anyway, I love it. I am 6'1", and find that my hands are in the most ideal spot. My .02 worth.

Put my Star Bar on last week and love it. At first it looks like its just too damn wide but its just right for me. I'd suggest that you install everything on the bar then put it on, easier that way. Also put on ISO Grips and they make a huge difference. Also in my ever-quest for taking weight off of my Roadie the Star Bar is much lighter than stock but done very well.

I have Barons Nastagia Bar which is not as wide as the Star Bar but has 1" more pullback and a lower rise height. It really feels great and the extra pullback makes long rides much more comfortable. My friend has the exact same R* as me and got the Big Johnson Star Bar and they look GREAT but when I sat on his bike the handlebars did not come back far enough.

Thanks guys for your responses, it helps alot.
smhowse I may look into the bar you have. I was reading that the star bar
keeps your hands more inline with your forearms. But I also like the idea
of that 1-Inch pullback, and smaller rise. Thanks for the input to all

I put a burly bikini beach bar on my bike.. lower and a bit wider,, stock cables will work with it. It feels great and comfy . I put pro 1 grips on the bars too.I should have some pics of it on here soon. just another idea.

My son put the Baron Star Bars on his 05 Midnight Star and he loves 'em. Said it makes the bike feel 300 pounds lighter. Plus he likes the position of the handlebars too! Makes the bike more comfortable to ride.

HHmmmmm...... looks like I'll have to put a set on mine before too long!

I'm glad someone brought this up. I've wondered about these bars and am glad to hear they're worth getting. Looks like I've got something to put on my Christmas list
