Yes, the tranny recall is still being done. Take you vin to a dealer and they pull up the vehicle on the dealer site and check for open recalls.

and my dealer just ran the VIN and could tell..they told me the issue would cause the rear wheel to lock..sounds like this is not your issue BUT..if Yam is going to pay to be in there...the additional fix of your prob..should be less $$$...good luck.

Dealer told me today that the recall was for a c clip that could come off and get stuck in the gears.

You may want to look into up-grading
your oil pump wile they are in there.

not all dealers put a punch mark over the vin #. I know my dealer hasn't, and they did over 100 recall.

Losing 5th is not due to tranny recall items, but rear wheel lock-up is. I've read a few times of the shift dogs failing tho.
