Musky..I have noticed one thing since I did the MCF... I lost a little bottom end, taking off from stops and such. You cant really tell it to bad I'm just fussy. So not wanting to start messing with jets..(It's finally right, I think) .. I connected the accelerator pump back up and adjusted it for a minimal shot of gas. Seems to work perfect now. I hope this helps others,. to bad Law cant do it right away, I bet he would see a difference. My wife even noticed how much better it runs and no more fumes..(since she sets over those LoBoy shotguns).. she also noticed the sound. Much better.

Mornin br

I never thought of that but you're right. If we have things tweaked with the choke always on a little we will probably have to tweak again. Good point.

Wow,, this thread really took off... I never thought of that but you're right. If we have things tweaked with the choke always on a little we will probably have to tweak again. Good point. I would guess that you will need to start dialing things in again..as the partial choke would affect all settings.. Oh well, I know how much you like to play with it...

I made the modification on Sunday morning. As it turned out even with beautiful weather I was unable to ride after the mod. I will ride a little tonight after work, but had to haul stuff in this morning so no scooter to work. I sliced off almost an 1/8 of an inch before gaining clearance when in the fully open position. I started the scooter and it idled the same and no rich smell. I will have to get back to you all on this one as I will not be able to ride much until next week, I am traveling for business.

At least(hopefully)now we'll be tweaking in a correctly choked motor.

I was just thinking. This could be why some people could not use the time proven settings that have worked for so many. Or it could be that if you are using those settings right now but it isn't quite right this might be what you need. That was what it took in my case anywho.

One more for Law Definitely will try this but as I have gone down for the winter and mods I unfortunately won't be able to send any feedback right away but the whole thing makes way too much sense and sounds way too easy to pass up
Thanx Gram and Musky!
