I have completed Step 1 - Step 3 (as layed out on Curt's SVC post) I am now ready to begin with Step 4, but feel a little unsure of my knowledge at this point, but will read through all the articles on Carb and see if I can figure out what to do. I also ran through a partial tank of seafoam in the tank and in the oil before changing oil this afternoon. Thanks Doc for your help with this, and to everyone else that contributed. I will post more results in a few weeks. Rob

Rob,great start so far and stick with it!!
With all the experienced guys here in RSC have i bet you will get it all squared away,it will just take some time & effort following the suggestions/advice on what to do that will hopefully get your bike running better.
When you get it running right it would be great to pull your bike up in front of the dealer or shop that said your motor was tired needing a rbld and wind it up ,drop the clutch ,and then do nice but short 4k
rpm burnout (staying just under your 1600's
rev limit) in his parking lot .
Then when leaving the shop hit it good thru a few gears so he can see & hear just how good its running after they told you the motor needed a rbld.
Good luck & keep the updates comming!
