Did not want leather so went this route. Whenever I see one, images of someone enjoying life comes to mind. I even feel a little envious, wondering where they've been and where they're going... There's something about waking up miles from home, loading up the gear and heading out on a long ride far from the usual stomping grounds. As far as bags, I have a hiker's back pack with it's own ridge frame, which makes it easy to strap to the sissy bar. The main compartment is expandable, and it has the sleeping bag roll, and includes a smaller bag as well, kinda like a day trip bag. It is tough, big, and easy to get on and off the bike, which I like. I haven't done any camping trips, and I don't currently plan on it. I like being able to take it off and just put everything in my room at my destination and lock it all up. Platinum Boarder Posts: 8089 Re:advice on tail bags for a road trip. 12 Months ago   There is another roll pack that goes on top of my bag (not the one on the front fender) that holds 2 sleeping bags....honest, it does, they are the adult size Swiss army light weight bags and they compact down very small.
