You have to have a special float valve (don't have model #) to use the pump on a HSR carb, the stock HSR float valve works fine with the stock petcock and no pump.

Going with an HSR 42 flat slide,VERY NICE MOD!

Anyway,just curious ,what yr is your bike & how many miles were on it when the stock elec f-pump failed?

2001 roadie 36000km it had 18000km on it when I bought it.
my pump was relocated under the side cover 16000km ago, the day it quit I removed the side cover after I trailed it home. I gave the pump a couple taps and it started working and have been riding it ever since back and forth to work but I don't trust it for a long run.
