My experience over the years has taught me that the only way to get a real noticeable increase in power is to get into the engine itself, something I don't want to do. Seems the folks with the most problems have done this. A friend owns an Electra Glide built out to a 103ci with all the major goodies--cams, pistons, etc. This bike will snap your head back when you goose it. However, we went riding the other day, stopped at the local biker bar and were talking about this subject. We both had test ridden the Roadliner a while back and we still refer to it when the topic of power out of a v-twin comes up. It is an amazing machine in that aspect. We both have owned our bikes for a couple of years. When we bought them the power was plenty. They still are powerful but of course we want more now. At some point you gotta say "This is a lot of power, I guess I'm just used to it". I have a feeling if we both bought Liners we would have the same conversation in two years again.
