Well I do thank everyone for your quick and helpful replies. I will be checking the bolt clearance as soon as I can.

btw, i'm still running the tire w/ out any issues.

So if I can find, and fix the issue, the tire might still be usable?

Thanks again in advance,

Dustin

as long as the bolts only rubbed the thick part of the tire. if the sidewall has been rubbed then i would recommend changing the tire. if this is the case. i'd be afriad to run the tire due to the sidewall being ground down. it may feel okay when cold. however, when the tire gets hot it expands. thin rubber when expanded is even thinner and becomes weak. plz don't take my expereince as the gospel.

Do what Curt says, remove the two bolts under the seat and lift the fender up.

Buy a new tire. I always put new tires on when I buy a used bike. Tires are much cheaper than anything should you go down, and peace of mind is priceless to me when riding.

+1 for a new tire

That tire is compromised where the tread block and the sidewall meet. It's ripe for a tread seperation.
