Some how that dosn't make me feel any better. But I do have to say I have 34,000 on it now and absolutly love the bike! noise and all. I just wish Yamaha would address the the problem and try to fix it. With all the technology that's out there, they could fix it. I hate to say Harley has eliminated 95% of the noise from their bikes. A friend of mine has the 09 Road Glide and I was very impressed with how quiet it is. All those gears are going to make some noise and they're also the cause of the knocking heard when under load from a stop.
