Well i Just looked at my profile jetting and looks like i need to update it. Im running a 170main 27.5 pilot. And my mileage has been throw off by 10 percent due to the larger rear tire. I am geting 42mpg with city / highway mix with me driving calm. my speedo was off 10% before and now its dead on. So i had to add 10% more miles to the trip 3.9gallons was 148 on the trip so add the 10% at 15miles for 163 true miles at 3.9gallons re did my numbers for 42mpg with city driving in the mix cant wait to see what all freway does

Just back from 1000 km which is 600 miles and starting to get some miles on the new 11 R* stock with only the stage one exhaust drilled out used 11 gallons fuel (Cdn) so just over 50 miles per gallon which would equate to 43 mpg / US Gal. Most of the time was on the highway at about 70 mph. Did not run it down to empty the light seems to come on at about 150 miles and at that point the fill is about 14 ltres or 3.07 cnd gallons. Sure wish we were still on the understandable scale would save a lot of converting which is what goes on in my head all the time. This was on the stock seat in day and a half and by end of the second day I was really done..the stops got closer and closer together.

When my sending unit worked the light came on around 150. Can't remember how many gallons it took, that was 3 jettings and two air boxes ago.

Re:125 miles and hit reserve. 10 Months, 1 Week ago
Well....I just got back from a multiple day ride which included, city , I5, I90 and the Trans canada....and the best I was getting was 35-36 mpg. I had to convert litres and kilomaters to US gallons and miles but I switched to reserve when the engine sputtered.. and yup was putting in 16- 17 litres..which was 4 to 4.25 gals and getting 150 miles tops and as low as 20 mpg. Now I was loaded and tried to keep up with the 6 speed harley so I was burying the throttle pushing 70mph up some pretty steep hills in Montanna, so I expected to pay the price. I attained my best mpg of course when I ditched my luggage and rode with just me on the bike. I am not pumpless and I have a Kuryachan pro hyper charger and 2 to 1 roadburner pipes. I am assuming that the jets were addressed by PO when he installed VI Classic II's. I do get popping on decel and was wondering if this was a factor?
Just my $.02 and MHO. lol

Re:125 miles and hit reserve. 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Watching this thread and thought I'd try it on recent road trip with a bit of in town through towns on the way seemed that I am good for 180 on a tank at about 70mph..that takes me into the reserve and the fill at that point was about 4 US Gal. I have everything here in litres and Cdn gal so that is a close conversion.

As it should be. Anymore malt then that, and your mileage will become eratic do to detours, and unexpected stops and starts.

Is the fuel light supposed to come on when the gas gauge is at 1/4 tank?
I think I need to read the owners manual.
