Platinum Boarder Posts: 3066 Re:skinny valves 1 Year ago   They won't fit. Take a look at the 03 and older engine and compair them to yours. The older are larger insize. I've some times wondered if that was part of the SVS problem on the 04 and above. The older ones had more metal to soak up the heat and get rid of it. Platinum Boarder Posts: 1825 Re:skinny valves 1 Year ago   Fast ...as someone who went thru that ..svs.. crap for over a year.. I tryed to think of everything also! Even the head swap. But all said and done, ever since the pulling of the heads , cleaning those valves like new, dropping the oil level, reroute the crankcase breather to the bottom of the bike, hittin' the rev limiter every now and then, and an occasional MMO treatment, all has been fine for a few months now. Which is good for me, cause it would always come back within a week or so. Sounds like alot to do but I already had the problem. If you dont have svs' and you do some preventive things..(oil level drop etc.)..I have a feeling it will stop it from coming around. my .02   Logged     2004 Midnite Silverado   The administrator has disabled public write access.
