Where and with what kind of lube? Thanks Pete

Pete, you want to lube the pivot shaft for the shifter that was mentioned up above. Its the shaft that comes off the center of the shifter and goes through the bracket down by the foot board. I usually just give mine a squirt or two with some spray lube that has Teflon or something similar. Done right, I suppose I should take it apart and grease the shaft and inside of the housing it passes through, but the spray lube seems to work fine. When that shaft dries up and needs lubed, it'll cause the shifter to bind and makes hitting neutral difficult.

Might try changing the jack shaft fluid.
What the hell is jack shaft fluid??? Is that anything like blinker fluid? I changed mine last week...

I thought the transmission and engine oil were the same. Did he mean the transfer case?

Man, I'm screwed. I've never changed my blinker fluid or replaced my muffler bearings. I need to unload this bike quick before something blows up

P.S. Roadstar for sale. Cheap. Very well maintained...

Well I have found the Universal Muffler Bearing to be the best for most applications

Damn! What a great deal! Only $85 plus $20 shipping. Just ordered mine. Please disregard previous sale posting for a well-maintained, cheap roadstar. It'll be back on the road in no time.
