Bikercouple,

Curious... how much would you say you tried to run that engine with NO oil pressure before you learned what the real issue was?

My friend's bike was actually run quite a bit before it was stopped and the real problem was diagnosed.

I intend to turn the oil pump drive by hand, to feel how the pump is (hopefully not seized, or anything bad like that), and if it's turning okay, just reassemble, and with new oil and filter, just start it up and listen.

Any thoughts before that fateful push of the start button?

I ran it approx 5 or 6 times for a min or so each.
I would go ahead and change the lifters since they did collapse cause of no oil. they are cheat and fairly easy to replace. juist remember the placement of the push rods.

But it looks like he is trying to buy a module from someone that posted almost a yr ago, be much better to either post his problems in a new thread and determine if the module went bad, or to buy. These modules don't go out too often, way less than 1%. No way to test them either, only can swap with a known good one and see if issue follows the module or not.
