Q about new pulley 4 Years, 5 Months ago
Hello all.My star is an 06'model with a V&H pro pipe and a MaxAir kit.Bike performs well.I was hoping to get some more umph out of it without alot of expense. It looks like the 31 tooth pulley should make a difference on take off.And seems like it would only make since to get the speedstar module to up the rev limit because I'm guessing that if changing the pulley makes that big of a difference I would assume I would be hitting the rev limit alot sooner.Would you all agree. Thanks

Your bike has a 32 on it so I wouldn't expect a huge jump going to the 31. It would make a bigger difference on a 1600 that has a 33 stock. It will help on take off though. I would ride it first and see if you think you want a Speedstar ign. There will be a equal trade off the the other end. You will have more of a buzz at highway speeds.
