Have to jet? 5 Years, 9 Months ago
About the only real complaint I have on my Silverado is the stacked 2 into 2 pipes that limit the saddle bags to purse size. I like big bags and on a bike this size I think the stock bags look out of place. I can see changing the pipes as soon as possible just because of this issue. I'm not after more performance so jetting and air to increase the ponies isn't a goal. I also want louder (not obnoxious) because I believe that being heard is just as important for safety as being seen. I am looking at the Cobra low boys. OK, I'll get to my question. Do you have to change jets and air to use after market exhaust? Will my bike run like crap if I don't or will it cause damage? On my last bike I just punched the baffles and tweaked the mixture screws to get the sound. I read the exhaust mods on this site but the stock pipes won't work for me so I have to go to after market.
