Gab, do the obvious thing, and check your oil level just to be on the safe side. Roadies don't use oil as a general rule, but hey, never hurts to check. I do agree with the others, when these motors lug, (gear too high , hard throttle) they rattle, plain and simple. Rev it cleanly, gear to gear, and see if the noise lessens. Bet it does...., here's to hoping. BB |

Road hard last night and the noise was still ther until I had to get gas!
I was getting my gas at HESS and it's all 10% Ethenol. The bike ran perfect after I got gas from Shell. I really don't know if it was the gas for sure but it's quite a coincedence.

It's the gas.On a trip through Pennsylvania in june we used Hess gas and everyone's bike ran crappy. Pinged and rattled. Stick with a top tier gas
your bike will be happier  |

I always stick to top gas like 76, shell, mobil no off brand or "cheap gas" the .7890 you save is not worth it. .00152 anyways

I apologize gab.  I usually try and tell people to give a different brand of gas a shot but forgot all about it. It can make a big difference. Hope she stays running good |
