Roadies don't use oil as a general rule, but hey, never hurts to check. I do agree with the others, when these motors lug, (gear too high , hard throttle) they rattle, plain and simple. I was getting my gas at HESS and it's all 10% Ethenol. The bike ran perfect after I got gas from Shell.
