CLUTCH??? 4 Years, 5 Months ago
First, I want to say is that Im not a mechanic , now that being said, I have a ?? about my clutch. I rode in a parade on xmas that was very slow, my clutch was acting up at the end of the parade. now when I take off I have to let the clutch out almost all the way out before it takes off. Can I just adjust this or is it messing up?? any comment would be helpful.

thanks

Try turning the adjustment knob at the level out 1 turn.

You should have about a nickel's worth of space between the clutch perch and the lever when the bike is warm.

Adjust it to take up most of the extra slack and see if it makes any difference in how your clutch works. You won't need to ride it to do it. Just see how it is on take off. Did something slip or come loose?

Alrighty. Never mind

In that case I don't need to tell you that it loosens up as it warms up so adjust it to a nickel's worth when the bike is at normal operating temp.
