A bit of pop and backfire 2 Years, 6 Months ago
I've noticed that since I put the Samson pipes on my bike, I now too like so many others have popping and backfire on decel. It's never really severe. Mainly if I'm decelling with the motor over 2000 RPM. It almost goes away once its warmed up. Sneaks a little one in from time to time. Does it sound simple enough where removing the AIS would cure it? Or do I need to fiddle with the tuning?

It does have a rejetted carb and K&N open filter already.

take off or bypass that AIS.. should solve all your problems.. I still get a little occasional back fire when I'm decerating hard but that's normal ~Guido
