I can almost guarantee that you have too much oil in the bike. 4.3 qts is, believe it or not, too much. I had the same problem before I found out about only putting in the 4 qts. It is possible that your air filter has too much oil on it. The K&N filters come from the factory with way too much oil on them.

ultrastar: Is anyone planing on going to Star Days this year? its in Reno NV this year thats only about a 5 hour ride for me the last one I went to was in CO. a 2 day ride riding 80 + and 14 hour days
