I have been considering switching over to either the Cobra Speedster longs or the Cobra powerpro 2into1 ... I love the look of them both. But still not sure about either because I don't know how much louder than stock they will be. I want a nice rumble, but don't want to have to wear earplugs when I ride. Does anybody have any idea how much louder than stock the Cobra pipes are? I am just looking for a "ballpark" percentage estimate.

LOUD That's why most guys like them.

I'd say they are much louder than the average 'pimped out' car.

I just put on the Cobra shotguns and a ballpark estimate is - alot % louder than stock They are louder but not obnoxiuos. I just got done with a long ride and it didn't bother me. I'm sure you've heard bikes with similar pipes. That's about what the pipes you are looking at will sound like.

I've got the Bub Jug Huggers, and I absolutely love them. They have a real nice rumble. And the looks are awsome as well. I am very happy with them.

Thanks for your input guys!
I read the site every day, and I have learned a LOT. Its a great resource

By the way, I just put a Mustang seat on my bike over the weekend and have ridden a couple hundred miles since. It took some getting used to as it does move you a little forward, but so far I really like it! Its very comfortable.

I ran the Yamaha 2 into 1 exhaust on my 03 Roady. Very good power. Gave the bike a good sound as well. I feel two into one is the way to go. I just got new Stratoliner with two into one. Putting on new Roadhouse slip-on for the stock two into one. Enjoy.

I have Vance & Hines long shots on my 03 Roadstar. They have a nice deep tone. With the baffels in it's not to loud but still gets attention. If you get a wild hair...........well just take out the baffels.....and well...........it's just insane!

I upgraded to the Mustang last year. After 200-300 miles there is still no butt fatigue. Makes for much more enjoyable road trips!
