Re:Odd Squeek 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
BTW your bike looks great with the hypercharger and all, what year is it?

RG

Hi RG,

Thanks for sending the positive vibes,
now I know why the job went so smoothly

My R* (called a Wild* here) is a 2002. It has a few mods including the hypercharger and V&H long shots but I kinda like the way it looks without too many changes.....sounds great too.

I ride out with an MC on Sundays which are mostly (but not all) Harleys, including one limited edition V-Max with a top-gun exhast, but I think my R* sounds the coolest.

The only other change that I am considering at present is a corbin touring saddle....Any thoughts?

Hey martinbo,

I have a girl friend who bought a Corbin touring saddle for her 1100 V-Star and she’s enchanted, great quality. I’m sure others will jump in with other suggestions.

BTW, I own a 02 as well and you’re Wild Star seems to be kinda Blue, is it a Dark Blue Metallic (code 0781) like mine or is it the Dark Violet Metallic (code 0778) cause I have a hard time differentiating the colour on your pic.

I’ve looked up a Canary Islands travel guide that I had and realized Tenerife’s 2,057 sq. km is one of the worlds most unique landscapes where lies exotic vegetation and one of the most beautiful volcanoes on earth, therefore you must have a blast each time you go riding with your friends, and this all year around! God I would like to ride 12 months a year and I’m sure I’m not alone!

And YES the Roadie/Wild Star are the coolest!!

Ride safe.

RG

Hey Clifford...any Pics??????

RG, My W* is black, not sure of the rall color number but it's not metallic.

You are right, riding here is a blast. Everywhere is either up or down with mostly sharp sweeping bends and the odd few hairpins thrown in for good measure. There are just two freeways. In winter you can drive to within a few thousand feet of the vocano summit and be in the snow and then 40 minutes ride later you can be sunbathing on the beach.

The planet of the apes was filmed here up on the foot hills of the volcano. It sure is weird terrain up there.

I think we must have some of the best all year round biking conditions on earth. The only downside is that you need to take a two day ferry to the mainland if you want to go for a really long ride!!

Meanwhile, back at my saddle dilema, my wife, who is also a biker but likes to be a passenger too, especially on longer rides, desires the comfort of a riders seat....even when she is on the back. So saddle looks are important but front and rear comfort are necessary.

Thanks Curt, I think the seats on Black Ice look stunning. What's the longest "comfortable" ride youv'e done without a passenger complaint?

OK, so your colour is Yamaha Black (code 0033).

Looks like Curt’s Ultimate seat will be difficult to beat!

I haven't gotten to do any real long rides yet the longest was 160 miles and we both were comfortable. If you want a closer look at the seat click on my site link. My butt loves it!

Hi Curt,

Thanks, that would be very helpful. Where can I find your site link?
