Speedo problem 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Hello, I have issue with My speedo.
Does anyone seen that ???

When you put the inition to ON, the arrow speedo go all arround to the end and get back to 0. After you start you engine all go will. it write 10miles ir you run 10 miles hours.

My speedo does something bizzard. when I ptu the inition to on the arro speedo go at the end but came back to 30. so if I run at 10 miles hours the speedo write 40.

If i do 3 or 4 time off and on sometime the speedo get back to 0..

thanks a lot

Mine takes 2 or 3 re-starts or If i ride it for an half hour or so after I fill it up it will evntually get up to full. Or If I fill and park it for a while when I start it back up it will be good.

Post edited by: Musky, at: 2006/06/02 17:12

Musky~

I just recently went through the same issue with my 99 Roadie. Unfortunately, one day it just corrected itself and started working properly again. If I had to guess though, I would probably start with the speed sensor located down behind the rear cylinder on the right side. I was going to order a replacement and start there first if mine kept acting up. The needle wouldn't bounce all the way over on the first try and bounce up to 20 after it hit zero. I would shut it off and wait for the needle to bounce back down to zero and then turn it back on again. It would stay at zero then but would wait until I got moving at 10mph before it would start moving on the dial. Wish I could be more help for you but then again, it might help knowing you're not the only one to experience this problem.
