06 Roadstar Dailed In!! 5 Years, 11 Months ago
Well this is what I`m going with!(DOC)Must have read every Post on Jetting
in here and was`nt surprized at diversity and differance in all. This all started
(as it has with alot of you)changed my pipes, changed my air cleaner.
To keep you updated I have Roadhouse Dooleys and a Tear Drop air cleaner
from Thunder Mfg.(THESE PIPES SOUND AWSOME)Dealer did a shit job on pipes and carb rejetting. So bought a Dyno Jet Kit and did it myself! With the set up
as Dyno jet would have it Ran good but very Rich.(Could start with no choke.)
So, Doc Thank you very much for all the time and info You said DJ175,Back to
35 pilot,2 1/2 PMS,4th on the needle.When I ran with earlier DJ set up,
DJ190 thier 37.5 pilot,3 PMS, needle on 4,ran awesome but no choke to start
we know it`s rich,second try DJ175,37.5 pilot,2 1/2 PMS,needle on 3.Ran great
could feel the differance of the 175,still no choke to start too rich.Aftwer all you`ve told me plus what I`ve read this is what I did and am going to run at
for now,DJ190,stock 35pilot,PMS at 3,needle at 3. Idle PERFECT,1/4 thottle
to 3/4 thottle PERFECT,Full thottle RUNS LIKE STINK Had to start with choke for first time since I started this project.106 degrees for a high today
did this last Adj. at 6:30 Am.Plan on a short trip of 180 miles next weekend will let you know my MPG after the trip. Thanks Again Doc!
