I've got the Yamaha big bar on mine and the bar pretty much lines up with your toes. I don't think there would be enough room on it to put a control on the inside. I've seen pictures of some Harley police bikes with pegs (not controls) mounted on the inside of the bar. It must be a pretty big bar though.

I mounted some Kuryakyn pegs on my bar (outside) and am able to put my toes on the pegs while keeping my heels on the floorboards. Quite comfy!
