Just south of the 2 dash select/reset buttons is the tuning fork emblem. According to the parts fiche <CLICK HERE> for 2001, this emblem is there (part 23 in the diagram - click on "Meter" on the left, to view the dash components).

Here's a blurry photo from my 2007 Silverado, that is, before I heated it up and removed it!

As a former Huntington Beach resident, I remember well those runs thru Trabuco Canyon. but back then it was on my 1980 XS 850 Special.

If ya ever get a chance, check out one of my old buddies places out there called "Philly's Best." The owners, Andrea & Bob are from the same area of South Jersey as me.

edit: That tuning fork is the absolute last thing that represents Yamaha on my scoot.

Philly's Best??? I love that place! At which of their locations would I find Andrea and Bob? There are like 10 of them here in OC.

As for Brooklyn, my oldest daughter lives on Gold Street in Dumbo. I'll let you know next time I'm out your way. I dig it out there.

Back in the mid 90's, they were always in their Fountain Valley location. But spent some time in Irvine, too. They live in Laguna Hills so figure they stay close most of the time. Last I heard, they had several franchises.

Also, John's Philly Steaks in Seal and Huntington Beaches was another local S. Jersey dude. And Joe owns the Phila. Sandwich Shop in Clairmont down in San Diego. I'll be in San Diego this Sept for a Navy Reunion. So' I'll give ya a shout out then. And I'm closer to Coney Island than DUMBO, but, it's not too far!
