fat rear tire on stock rim 4 Years, 3 Months ago  
Can anyone tell me the fattest rear tire I can put on my stock 1999 Roadie rim is?
I have no rear fender and I am willing to do a little grinding if I need to.
I like the look of a fat rear end but really don't want to get a whole new swing arm, rim, pulley etc.

A lot of opinions on this one Anthony, I'll just tell you what I do, I have a 180 on an stock spoke rim...you will probably need to do a little grinding depending on what brand you use...

I saw the article on the fat tire but it said the guy bought a new RC rim.
I just wanted to know if I could fit a 180 on my stock rim

I put a 160 on my '05 without mods, probably not as beefie looking as a 180, but filled up the finder weld and looks better.

I'll take a shot at it tommorrow when its light out.. You really can't see much unless you get down real low to the ground as the fender is not bobbed, but it definatly fills the fender up..

240 with mods (new rim, pulley, etc)

160 with no mods (stock rim, etc.)
