Kury ..Run turn brake controller 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
|
|
I have a 2005 R* with a 250 rear without tail lights. The side mounted liscense plate has a operable stop light. I am going to put on a Kury R/T/B/ controller and a set of tailights.....Is it necessary to a have load equilizer on this setup? Does it matter if the lights are LED? I know little about electrical. Any help / guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks, Dan

I just put one on my 05'. I bought the plug-and-play type. Easiest mod ever, and looks great. It comes with one load equalizer but you need two so order one up front and save shipping. I had to change the rear bulbs to red. Basic 1156 single filament bulbs, (from Kury also).

Hey Dan
The Kury setup should come with one load equilizer.
I'd just try it, if it blinks to fast, then get the second one.
With the LED lights you may have to add a second one, which the Kury RTB already has a connection for. The Kury load equilizers usually runs about $15 bucks if you have to get a second one.

I have an 03 R* wiuh Kury R-T-B controller. All turn signals are LED. The tail/stop light is LED. I have replaced the front side reflectors with LED's that are running lights & turn signals. I have a 6" LED on the sissy bar backrest, and a license frame with LED's all around. The horizontal units are tail/stop; the vertical units are tail/turn signals. Everything works great with no load equalizers. The original R-T-b failed in less than a year and was replaced under warrenty.
