#6523 Pop Rivet (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 2775 Idle adjustment 2 Years, 7 Months ago   I think my idle might be a tad too fast My tach reads 1000 rpm after a run But is slower when cold The idle increased slightly when I added new exhaust Do I just turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise to lower idle??I went to do this and seemed to be resistance there like a springy effect Didnt want to break anything so I did not force it.. what should I expect to feel?? Like it isn't firmly mounted and yeah, springy. My guess is it's like this so it doesn't vibrate and turn on it's own. It will turn without breaking so after the bike is warmed up you can set your idle to your liking.
